The Republican Party would prefer you dead. They will offer you their thoughts and prayers, but they will do nothing to stop innocent children from being gunned down in their own schools. They will offer you Old Testament bromides while they force you to give birth, even in cases where your life is threatened. They will claim the title of outdoors people while they let our forests burn down and our climate deteriorate. They will vote whenever and however they can to strip you and your family of food, shelter and the mechanisms for social mobility. They will destroy our democracy because it is not white enough for them, because it is meant to be more than a machine for graft, and because they think you’ll keep letting them.
