Nearly $190,000 was raised on May 20 at the Salmon Creek Cares fundraiser held at Royal Oaks Country Club. The funds will be used to support cancer services at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center.

Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation trustee Dennis Malin emceed the event, which celebrated the cancer care provided at the hospital and featured the story of patient Mark McCampbell and his wife, Bonnie.

The event also included a virtual tour of Legacy Salmon Creek’s remodeled Cancer Healing Center, which was funded by over $1 million in community donations. The center houses space for holistic therapy, genetic counseling and personalized navigation.
