Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Sunday evening on state Highway 503 north of Battle Ground.

The Washington State Patrol respond to a crash at 6:04 p.m. at Milepost 10 near Lewisville Regional Park.

A State Patrol bulletin said Ryan Jacques, 28, from La Center, was driving a Subaru WRX north on state Highway 503 when his car crossed over the center line and crashed into a Ford Escape driven by a 16-year-old boy from Amboy.

Jacques then overcorrected, and his Subaru veered back over the center and crashed head-on into a Ford Explorer.

Jacques, his passenger, Alicia Avalos, 28, of Kelso and the driver of the Ford Explorer, Kianalia Towle, 24, from Kelso, were injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, the bulletin states.

The 16-year-old and the passenger in the Ford Escape, James Young, 21, from La Center, were not injured.

The State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash and whether to refer charges against Jacques. The crash memo states drugs and alcohol were not involved.
