Letter: Perez will face up to challenges

As a father of two young girls, I’m deeply concerned about the direction of our county, state and country. That’s why I’m proud to support Marie Perez. We need someone in Congress who will work to benefit the citizens of our state, not promote extremist fantasies and stoke divisive cultural conflict. The last 40 years of feckless, incompetent governance have left us facing the loss of family-wage jobs, wealth inequality, access to affordable health care and climate change. We need leaders in Congress who can face these challenges with clarity, intelligence and commitment. That’s why Marie Perez is the right choice in this election.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
