Jayson Graham of Washougal is The Columbian 2022 Week 5 high school football player of the week.
Graham received 392 votes to beat out Evergreen’s Jaxson Morris for the honor.
The junior had the go-ahead 72-yard interception return for a touchdown in the final minute and added a 34-yard touchdown reception in a 34-27 win over Ridgefield.
Winners of the player-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no player may be nominated in consecutive weeks. Nominees are posted and voting begins by 9 a.m. each Monday.

KOLTEN GESSER, SETON CATHOLIC: The freshman passed for 382 yards and five touchdowns in a 45-14 win over Columbia-White Salmon.
JAXSON MORRIS, EVERGREEN: The senior made the game-saving hit with 23 seconds left, forcing a fumble that Evergreen recovered for a 20-14 win over Mountain View.
KEATON NORTHCUT, WOODLAND: The senior rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns and caught six passes for 73 yards and another score in a 29-27 win over Hockinson.
EMMETT STEIN, SKYVIEW: The sophomore intercepted two passes, returning one 27 yards for a touchdown and blocked a field goal in a 51-0 win over Heritage.
