Clark County will host a public meeting at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 on a list of proposed county code amendments related to wetlands protection and habitat conservation. An overview of the proposed amendments and adoption process will be provided, and the public will be allowed to comment.

The proposed amendments include combining the two codes into a single ordinance for streamlined administration and updates under current Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and Department of Ecology guidelines and recommendations.

Following the public meeting, the proposed amendments will be presented to the Clark County Planning Commission during a Nov. 3 work session and Nov. 17 public hearing.

The meeting will be held in a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual participation options. The meeting will be held in the sixth-floor Hearing Room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver, or join by phone or computer.
