Jayson Graham caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Holden Bea after Harrison DeShazer blocked a pivotal conversion kick, lifting Washougal to a 33-32 overtime win against River Ridge on Thursday night in Lacey.

Bea also threw a 9-yard touchdown pass in the final minute of the fourth quarter to force overtime for Washougal in a back-and-forth affair.

Liam Atkin returned a punt return 90 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to tie the game 18-18.

River Ridge reclaimed the lead 26-18 on Jonathan Mapu’s 43-yard touchdown run with 5:55 left.

After turning the ball over on downs, Washougal was able to get the ball back on its own 26 with 1:29 to play.

Bea hit Graham for a 40-yard gain down to the 9 before completing a touchdown pass to Edwards with 40 seconds left. Bea ran in the two-point conversion, tying the game at 26-26.

In the first possession of overtime, Ronaldo Gonzalez-Salazar’s 1-yard touchdown run put River Ridge up 32-26, but DeShazer burst threw to block the PAT kick.

On third-and-5, Bea hits Graham for the game-tying touchdown, then Koby Johnson made the conversion kick for the win.
