Jake Kennedy threw two touchdown passes, Jalen Salavea recovered two fumbles, including one returned for a score, and Skyview made a statement in a 28-10 road win against Bothell on Saturday.

The Storm were unfazed by the nearly three-hour trip to Pop Keeney Stadium by jumping on Bothell in the first quarter with Salavea’s 5-yard fumble return for a touchdown.

Kennedy connected with receivers Gavin Packer and Hezechariah Po Ching for a pair of second-quarter touchdowns, giving Skyview a 21-0 lead at halftime.

The junior quarterback added a rushing touchdown midway through the fourth quarter to put the finishing touches on a win against Bothell, which was the No. 7-ranked 4A team in the first Associated Press state high school football poll.

Skyview (2-1) will continue its non-league slate against 4A Kamiak on Friday at Kiggins Bowl, in a rematch of last season’s 4A state preliminary round game Skyview won 28-7 at the same venue.
