Vancouver police are continuing to investigate the disappearance of 14-year-old Hector Diago Haavisto.

“Information suggests that Hector may be staying at hotels in the Portland/Vancouver area and that adults in his company may be engaged in criminal activity,” the police department said in a Tuesday update.

Anyone who sees Hector should not confront him or his associates, police said, and should call 911 and reference the police bulletin.

Officers describe Hector as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds, with black hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve white shirt, gray hoodie and black Dickie’s pants.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact Detective James Dewey at james.dewey@cityofvancouver.us.
