A fair amount of fun still to be had in Clark County

The Columbian
Published: August 12, 2023, 6:04am

The Clark County Fair wraps up this weekend, but there’s still time to visit farm animals, watch doggy dives, slurp Dairy Women milkshakes and whip around on the Zillerator roller coaster.

Or you could try an activity off the beaten path. At 12:30 p.m. today, registration begins for the cheeseburger eating contest that begins at 1 p.m. on The Columbian Community Stage near the east gate. Later at the same stage — 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. — hypnotist Jerry Harris performs. At the Dr. Jack Giesy Arena, a drill team competition begins at 4:30 p.m. At 5 p.m. Sunday, the 2024 Fair Court will be crowned in South Hall 1, near the food court. At 3:45 p.m. Sunday, the Ke Kukui Foundation Dancers perform on the Family Fun Stage near the west gate.

Loud trucks close out entertainment in the grandstand, with Tuff Trucks today and Monster Trucks on Sunday, two shows each day at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
