A fallen tree limb took out power for nearly 3,500 customers in downtown Vancouver at about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

“Part of the transmission line that serves the downtown area was affected,” Clark Public Utilities spokesman Dameon Pesanti said.

Two downtown substations also lost power, he added.

The outage, which lasted about 45 minutes, affected 3,446 customers.

By 1 p.m., the outage had shrunk to 2,874 households and power was restored for all about 1:25 p.m.

To report an outage, call 360-992-8000 or fill out the utility’s online form.
