The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office identified a 19-year-old Portland man as the motorcyclist killed in a June 1 crash in Brush Prairie.

Mark Osintsev died from multiple blunt force injuries. His death was ruled an accident, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 9:30 p.m., along with Clark County Fire District 3, the Vancouver Fire Department and AMR, to the 13900 block of Northeast 172nd Avenue for a report of a crash involving a car and motorcycle, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

First responders found a man in a Volkswagen sedan with serious injuries. The driver required extrication and was taken to a local hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

“The operator of the motorcycle was not immediately located, but after searching the area, a deceased adult male was located in the nearby brush,” the statement said.

According to the initial investigation, “the offroad style motorcycle” was traveling south on 172nd Avenue when it was struck by the northbound Volkswagen and a second passing vehicle. The Volkswagen then struck a power pole.

The sheriff’s office previously said speed and alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
