GREEN MEADOWS — On June 16, Club Green Meadows hosted an event and fundraiser benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.
Jill Watson, who was hosting her eighth annual “The Longest Day” tournament, and other volunteers held various events throughout the day to raise money and awareness for this cause. In all, more than 200 participants played tennis, pickle ball and golf; they raised over $11,000 in donations.
Watson and her team of volunteers thanked Club Green Meadows for hosting the event and providing participants with lunch. The organizers also thanked premier sponsor Eren Starr of Farmers Insurance Agency, plus the dozens of others who donated items for a raffle and silent auction.
