The Clark County Council will hold a work session on Wednesday followed by a public hearing on Aug. 1 to take public testimony and select a 2045 employment projection as provided by Scott Bailey, Regional Economist from Washington State Employment Security Department. The projection is part of the county’s efforts to update the Growth Management Plan by June 2025.

Both meetings will be held in a hybrid format. Attendees can join in person, at the sixth floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. or virtually, via Webex.

The Wednesday work session, which will begin 9 a.m., is an informational session for the council to be briefed by staff in preparation for the hearing. The public is welcome to attend, however there is no opportunity for public comment. Public comment will be accepted at the Aug. 1 hearing.

The public hearing will begin at 10 a.m. and will also be shown live on CVTV channel 23/323 and will also be available later that day for on-demand viewing on CVTV.org.

Information on how the public can attend the meeting and provide testimony can be found on the council’s meeting page at https://clark.wa.gov/councilors/clark-county-council-meetings.
