Interim director aims to build revenues, reduce expenses at Oregon Shakespeare Festival

Tyler Hokama isn’t concerned about how long his back-from-retirement gig as interim executive director at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival may ultimately last. What worries him more is preserving the future of theater by doing the best job he can right now, he said.

“We have not set any specific timelines,” said Hokama, who grew up in Vancouver and graduated from Fort Vancouver High School.
