The Clark County Auditor’s office has scheduled a special three-day filing period for four elected offices: Yacolt City Council positions 1 and 5, Green Mountain School District Position 1 director and Clark County Fire Protection District 13 Position 3 commissioner. The special filing period runs from 8 a.m. Aug. 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 4.

At the close of the regular candidate filing period May 19, county elections officials had not received a filing for any of those four offices.

There are no filing fees for these offices. All candidates who file during the special filing period will appear on the general election ballot.

Any voter residing within these districts is qualified to file. Anyone interested in filing can do so at the Clark County Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver. Candidates can also file online at clarkvotes.org.

If needed, a lot drawing to determine the candidate order on the ballot will take place at 9 a.m. Aug. 7.

For more information, call the elections office at 564-397-2345.
