The 1907 house once inhabited by prolific politician and builder J.P. Kiggins has stood sentinel over Vancouver through its ups and downs.

Kiggins and his wife, Mary, raised their four children in the house, originally at 411 E. Evergreen Blvd. By the time it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995, it served as office space.
