Letter: VPS leaves students out in cold

Why is there a problem, lasting the entire school year? Vancouver Public Schools does not provide on-time and regular shuttle transportation from its designated stop at McLoughlin Middle School to Vancouver iTech Preparatory?

Why is the shuttle one hour late on most days?

Vancouver Public Schools transportation states their service provides a seamless transition. For the entire school year, it has been one hour late on most days, with no protected outside area for the students to wait.

iTech is a grade 6-12, early college, STEM-focused program for our best and brightest. As a former Vancouver Public Schools middle school teacher and counselor, there is no reason for students to miss class, through no fault of their own.

I have contacted the Vancouver Public Schools superintendent, iTech attendance office and Vancouver Public Schools transportation, with no response.
