Ridgefield track and field athlete Liam Rapp is the The Columbian 2022-23 Week 22 high school athlete of the week, presented by Heavy Metal Pizza.

Rapp received 444 of the 1,067 votes cast this week to win the honor.

Rapp won two events at the Tiger Relays, taking the 800 meters and 1,600 meters.

Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Nominees are posted and voting begins each Monday and runs through Wednesday.

EMEM NTEKPERE, SKYVIEW GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: Ntekpere won three events at the Tiger Relays, winning the 100-meter hurdles, 300-meters and high jump.

SKYE NOONAN, MOUNTAIN VIEW GIRLS TENNIS: Noonen won the Flight A singles championship at the Mountain View Invitational with a pair of straight-set victories.

SAM SOTO, SETON CATHOLIC BOYS SOCCER: Soto scored nine goals as the Cougars won three Trico League matches.
