The Seton Catholic boys soccer team is headed for the 1A state semifinals for the first time.

Brady Angelo scored scored twice in the second half for the Cougars as they won at No. 2-seed Montesano 2-0 on Saturday to advance to the final four on Friday in Renton.

Angelo first scored off an assist by Easton Ross, then added his second goal with an assist from Teagan Petracca.

Zach Catherall made six saves in goal for the clean sheet.

Seton (16-2-2) will face No. 3 seed Seattle Academy (12-3-4) at 1 p.m. Friday in the first state semifinal.

4A STATE: DAVIS 3, UNION 2 (PK) — Union scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation to tie the match at 2-2, but Davis came out on top in a shootout 4-2 in Yakima.

Mountain View’s doubles team of Lexi Frost and Brynn DeSantis, who qualified for state on Friday, lost 6-2, 6-1 in the semifinals, but then posted an improbable comeback win to place third.
