Hitting the road was no problem for Hockinson in the Class 2A girls soccer state tournament.

Abby Dombrow scored a first-half goal and Ani Vossler added a second-half strike as the Hawks beat North Kitsap 2-0 in Poulsbo on Wednesday.

Ashley Suva and Audrey Armstrong combined for seven saves to earn the shutout Hockinson (12-7).

The No. 12 seed Hawks advance to face No. 4 East Valley-Yakima on the road Saturday in the quarterfinals. A win would clinch Hockinson’s third trip to the state semifinals since 2019.
