A roofing contractor will be replacing the roofs on two picnic shelters and restrooms at Hazel Dell Community Park throughout November.

The work is being done for the long-term preservation and usability of the structures, according to Clark County Public Works’ parks and lands division.

The park will remain open while the roofing work is completed. However, access to the facilities will be limited. The restrooms are scheduled for work from Nov. 17-19. The roof on the picnic shelter at the playground will be replaced Nov. 20-23. Work on the main picnic shelter near the parking lot will be done Nov. 25-27.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. on weekdays and 7:30 a.m. on weekends. No work will occur on Thanksgiving or that Friday.

Visitors are reminded to avoid work zones and never enter areas that are closed with cones, signs, caution tape or other barriers.

Work and closure dates are weather dependent and subject to change. Updates to the project schedule will be posted at clark.wa.gov/public-works.
