Vancouver’s third Safe Stay community is scheduled to open Monday at 415 W. 11th St.

The site, named 415 West, will offer an open house from 10 a.m. to noon for community members interested in visiting.

The pallet-shelter community, which provides housing for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness, will be nearly identical to the two existing sites — with 20 modular pallet shelters and mandated 1,000-foot camping ban. However, this site will offer onsite restrooms, showers and laundry facilities to its residents. The community will be managed by nonprofit Outsiders Inn.

As of Aug. 31, the Safe Stay communities have served 186 people, aided 48 residents gain employment and helped 73 people get into stable housing.
