VANCOUVER — Two Clark County sailors are serving on the USS Nimitz, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier based in Bremerton, according to an update and photos provided by the U.S. Navy.

U.S. Navy Logistics Specialist Seaman Michael Pierre, from Vancouver, could be seen refilling Eco Lab containers with cleaning material aboard the USS Nimitz while in port at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton on Oct. 19.

U.S. Navy Machinery Repairman 1st Class Walter Hurt, from Amboy, could be seen preparing machine metal stock using a lathe in the machinery repair shop aboard the USS Nimitz while underway in the Pacific Ocean on Nov. 7.
