VANCOUVER — Thanks to $5,000 in support from Regal Cinemas, hundreds of youth at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington were able to enjoy an afternoon at the movies this summer. The funds helped cover transportation to the theaters, movie tickets at a discounted rate of $2, and concessions.

“As the club members walked into the movie theater, their eyes lit up. They felt so special to be able to get their very own box of treats,” said one club director from the Burton program. After the field trips, many of the young people engaged in fun activities related to the movie’s themes.
