Though its been more than a decade since their last show, Detroit rock duo the White Stripes — musicians Jack White and Meg White — continue to offer new and refurbished things for fans to get excited about.

The latest is “The White Stripes Complete Lyrics,” a hardcover book that documents all of Jack White’s original words for all of the Grammy Award-winning band’s songs. The book spans the band’s entire career, from their inception in 1997 through the final album in 2007.

According to Third Man Books, this is the first time White’s lyrics have been collected and put into one tome.

“The White Stripes Complete Lyrics” has never-before-seen rough drafts of songs, alternate lyrics and photographs, including images of actual spiral notebook lyrics written by White. The 315-page release is enhanced by essays from White Stripes historian and Third Man Records co-founder Ben Blackwell, poet, essayist and music critic Hanif Abdurraqib and Nashville author and poet Caroline Randall Williams.

The book’s release is part of a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the duo’s fourth album, “Elephant.”
