Letter: Support Brent for port

By Betty Sue Morris, Vancouver
Published: October 21, 2023, 6:00am

Ann Donnelly is a Republican. I’m a Democrat. We rarely agree on candidates. But we agree on Russell Brent for Port of Vancouver commissioner. He’s got the business background and extensive community experience to make sensible and productive decisions. Plus, he’s environmentally sensitive enough to help move the port forward in cleaning up Vancouver Lake for children and families.

Russell also has the temperament to build consensus among people who disagree, a rare quality in electeds these days. So please, take the suggestion of a good Republican and a good Democrat and vote Russell Brent for Port of Vancouver commissioner, District 1.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
