Investigators released the names of the Woodland man and Portland man who were killed Oct. 15 in a head-on, wrong-way crash on Interstate 5 in Salmon Creek.

Washington State Patrol troopers responded at 1:45 a.m. to Milepost 8, near the junction where Interstate 205 merges with I-5.

Troopers said Phuoc V. Le, 63, of Portland, was driving his Toyota Camry the wrong way south in the northbound lanes of I-5. He then struck a Honda Element driven by Kyle D. Paradis, 37, of Woodland.

The two vehicles came to rest fully blocking the northbound lanes. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, the news release states.
