Non-League Football: Auburn 14, Prairie 12

BATTLE GROUND – In a game that was filled with injury stoppages, penalties, and turnovers Prairie fell to Auburn 14-12 as a late field goal was blocked Friday at District Stadium.

Auburn broke a 12-12 tie in the third quarter with a safety as Prairie, backed up against its own goal line, had its rusher tackled in the end zone.

Quarterback Braeden Slamp gave Prairie and early boost when he broke free for an 88-yard touchdown.

After an interception, Auburn tied the game 6-6 with a 5-yard run by DJ Bielza.

Preston Hill put Prairie back on top with with a 5-yard run.

Auburn answered with solid kick-return giving them a short field, setting up a 12-yard touchdown run by Luvens Valcin.

Prairie attempted a 35-yard field goal on its final possession, but an Auburn lineman got a hand up for the block.
