Non-League Football: R.A. Long 19, Castle Rock 14

After going winless last year, R.A. Long opened the season with a 19-14 win over Castle Rock behind three touchdown passes from TreMayne Jenkins.

Jenkins hits Koynn Williamdike for an 85-yard touchdown in the first quarter. He then connected with Gabe Huntley for a 23-yard touchdown to put R.A. Long ahead 12-0 early in the second quarter.

Rockets quarterback Stephen Ibsen scrambled for a 20-yard score on 4th and 17 to pull the Rockets within 12-7 before halftime.

Jenkins hit Aeybel Millian for a 31-yard touchdown to put R.A. Long ahead 19-7.

Ibsen cut the lead to 19-14 on a 1-yard sneak early in the fourth quarter.

Castle Rock drove inside the 15 in the game’s final minute, but a fourth-down pass fell incomplete.
