The Clark County Board of Health is seeking volunteers for seven positions on the Public Health Advisory Council.

The council has five openings with three-years terms that begin Oct. 1, including three positions representing consumers of public health services, and one position for a practicing dentist in Clark County.

The two remaining positions will serve the remainder of terms that end Sept. 30, 2025. The two positions include a practicing medical doctor in Clark County (term to begin Nov. 1) and a representative of the Clark County Commission on Aging or aging community (term to begin immediately).

The council reviews priority public health needs and makes periodic recommendations to the Board of Health to enhance community health and well-being. The council may provide community forums or establish community task forces, as assigned by the Board of Health.

To apply, send a brief letter of interest and résumé to Michelle Pfenning, County Manager’s Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000 or email michelle.pfenning@clark.wa.gov.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. Sept. 22.
