VANCOUVER — Members and guests celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Fort Vancouver Rose Society on Sept. 7. The Fort Vancouver Rose Society has served Vancouver and surrounding communities since 1953 with boundless energy and enthusiasm for “all things roses.” Included in the evening’s celebration activities were an in-house rose show, a taco bar and special cake with a toast to the society’s next 70 years.
The party was just one of a number of anniversary year events, including a rose auction in March, a rose show in June and a garden tour in July.
