Noah Larson of Columbia River boys golf is the The Columbian 2023-24 Week 3 high school athlete of the week.
Larson received 2,813 of the 6,583 votes cast this week to win the honor.
The senior shot a 4-under-par 68 at Heron Lakes Greenback course helps River win a four-team match.
Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.
Nominees are posted and voting begins each Tuesday and runs through Thursday.
Here are the accomplishments of the other nominees:
PARKER MAIRS, CAMAS SOCCER: The senior had a goal and assist on the Papermakers’ two goals last week as Camas got a win and a draw.
BILLIE ROSS, LA CENTER VOLLEYBALL: The junior averaged 12 kills, six digs and three aces, leading the Wildcats to four wins last week.
DAVIS SULLIVAN, RIDGEFIELD CROSS COUNTRY: The junior won a league tri-meet, then won the varsity division race at The Mook XC Invite in Tillamook.
ROWAN THAWANI, UNION TENNIS: The senior scored a 6-2, 6-3 win over Leo Zhao in the No. 1 singles match, leading Union to 4-2 win over Camas.
