Letter: Why buy a Bible from Trump?

Bibles, what are your choices? Mr. Trump is selling the King James version, written in 1611 and reads like Shakespeare, for $60. The Regular King James version without the extras, (Constitution, songs, etc.) sells for $16. The Standard Revised Version published in 1901, is easy to understand at $25. The Oxford Annotated Bible is great for study and includes the Apocrypha. (Huh?) Get it and find out for only $39. The NIV version edited by Kent Dobson is the definitive study Bible at $99.

With Bibles cheaper, why are you buying one from Mr. Trump for $60? Don’t you have one already? You obviously feel you are a good Christian and since you read the Bible you can name five of the 10 commandments and list several other things besides homosexuality that will condemn you to Hell (fornication, divorce, bearing false witness). You know how Christ said to treat the immigrants, the poor, and the homeless.

So why are you buying a Bible from Trump?

Religion is easy, read John 3:16. And you don’t need a new Bible, just read the one you hopefully have.
