In the second C-Tran C-suite announcement of the week, Annette Shaw will be the agency’s new chief operating officer.

Shaw most recently served as Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority’s manager of investigations, conducting rail and bus incident investigations. At C-Tran, Shaw will be responsible for oversight of fixed-route operations, paratransit and on-demand service.

“It was clear that Annette’s background in operations and safety were a perfect match to continue the work being done by our world-class employees,” said Leann Caver, C-Tran’s newly appointed chief executive officer. “Any opportunity to add a resume and skill set of this caliber to our organization will undoubtedly take this agency to the next level.”

This will not be Shaw’s first time in the Pacific Northwest. Shaw worked as TriMet’s assistant manager of operations command central from 2018-21. A former light rail and heavy rail operator, she joins C-Tran at a key time in the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program, which might bring light rail to Vancouver.
