A Vancouver woman was one of two people killed in a head-on crash Monday in Tillamook County, Ore.

Oregon State Police troopers responded at 2:42 p.m. to a crash on Highway 101 near Milepost 146.

Troopers determined a Mazda Speed, driven by Devin Jay Eberle, 29, of Tumwater was traveling north and passed multiple vehicles in a no-passing zone while entering a corner. While passing in the southbound lane, the Mazda struck an oncoming Toyota Sienna, driven by Kathryn Stolee Olson, 74, of Tacoma, according to an Oregon State Police news release.

Eberle and his passenger, Berkley Marie Erosky, 26, of Vancouver, were pronounced dead at the scene. Olson and her passenger, David Paul Olson, 78, of Tacoma, were taken to a hospital for serious injuries, according to the news release.

Investigators determined speed and unlawful passing were factors in the crash. Traffic on the highway was impacted for about 2½ hours while troopers investigated, the news release states.
