Recap: The Raptors (26-21) didn’t nearly get the run production they found in 19 runs on Tuesday, as the Pippins (18-29) stopped a five-game losing streak. … Four runs in the second inning off Ridgefield starting pitcher Wyatt Nichol got Yakima going in the 92-degree heat at Yakima County Stadium.

Raptors bats: Leadoff hitter Taylor Takata (Hawai’i) was 3 for 4. … Dasan Harris (Oklahoma) was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI and scored two runs. … Ryan Camacho (West Texas A&M) had a double.

Raptors arms: Nichol (Pepperdine) allowed four earned runs in 1 1/3 innings and took the loss. He walked four and struck out two.

Up next: The series finale is Thursday at 6:35 p.m. at Yakima County Stadium.
