VANCOUVER – Bliss Domingo, a homeschooled ninth-grader from Vancouver, recently spent a week working as a Senate page at the Capitol in Olympia. She was sponsored by Sen. Ann Rivers, R-La Center, who represents parts of Battle Ground, Salmon Creek, Vancouver and rural Clark County.

“Bliss did an amazing job this week as a page while learning more about the legislative process,” said Rivers. “I am so happy she was able to have this opportunity and experience how special it is.” She was one of 32 students who served as pages during the ninth week of this year’s legislative session.

“I really wanted to learn more about the government and knew this would be a perfect fit for me to do so,” said Domingo. She added her favorite part was being able to run errands for the senators and have an impact on the session.

Domingo, 14, enjoys crocheting, painting, and other various crafts. She also loves softball and playing outfield for her team. Bliss is the daughter of Ashley and Sathor Domingo of Vancouver.
