A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday evening in a crash on state Highway 503 near Northeast Padden Parkway in Orchards.
Rescuers were called to the scene shortly before 6:15 p.m. and found that the rider had hit a traffic barrier and crashed, according to preliminary information.
The rider, believed seriously injured, was rushed to an area hospital.
The crash blocked north- and southbound traffic as workers cleared the roadway and Washington State Patrol troopers investigated.
