The Health Professions Quality Assurance office of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

The Health Professions Quality Assurance office of the state Department of Health recently took disciplinary actions or has withdrawn charges against these Clark County health care providers.

In August, the Nursing Assistant Program suspended the credential of Jennifer M. Earl. Earl forged several checks in her grandmother’s name and the Department of Social and Health Services found she had exploited the grandmother.

In August, the Nursing Commission indefinitely suspended the license of registered nurse Tamara Sue Sharp. Sharp’s license to practice nursing in Oregon was indefinitely suspended for failing to cooperate during an investigation.

In August, the Nursing Commission suspended the license of licensed practical nurse Patricia A. Viles. Viles made a medication error and a patient died.

In October, the Medical Commission placed the license of physician Patrick K. Chau on probation. He must comply with terms and conditions set against his license. Chau provided substandard care when prescribing medications to multiple patients.

In October, the Health Care Assistant Program suspended the credential of Jenny L. Philbrook. Philbrook failed to reply to a department investigator about a report the program received.

In October, the Board of Pharmacy charged pharmacy assistant Kenneth C. Fahey with unprofessional conduct. He allegedly diverted controlled substances from his place of employment, and was convicted of delivery of a controlled substance.

In October, the Nursing Assistant Program charged Danesa A. Knox with unprofessional conduct. She allegedly took Vicodin without permission or prescription from her place of employment for her own use.
