HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) — Police say a robber got more than cash Wednesday when he held up a bank branch in the Portland suburb of Hillsboro — a teller also handed him a tracking device tucked inside one of the stacks of bills.

About five minutes later, a Washington County sheriff’s deputy picked up the device’s signal coming from a U-Haul vehicle. Hillsboro police Lt. Mike Rouches says the deputy stopped the U-Haul and detained the woman driver at gunpoint. A Beaverton K9 officer responded and the dog found a man in the back of the truck with the cash and the tracking device.

The spokesman said police arrested Andrea K. Gill and Matthew T. Draina for investigation of bank robbery.
