A man who died in a motorcycle crash Friday was identified Monday as 60-year-old Richard Ludden of Vancouver.

He died of internal injuries, according to the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Ludden was westbound at about 4:20 p.m. on Northeast Washougal River Road when he crashed into a telephone pole on the side of the road. Ludden was riding a 1999 Triumph motorcycle.

The location of the call was given as 37200 Washougal River Road, near Milepost 6.

Ludden was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was withheld until Monday so his family could be informed of his death.

The fatal crash was at least the fourth serious local wreck involving a motorcycle in the last two weeks.
