Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard will be the special guest on Saturday, and some of the region’s top professional and amateur boxers will provide the action during the Vancouver PAL Fight Night boxing show.

The boxing begins at 7 p.m. at the Clark County Events Center.

Four amateur bouts are scheduled, followed by five professional fights.

The event is a fundraiser for the Vancouver Police Activities League.

Leonard, one of the most successful and popular boxers in history, will attend a VIP event prior to the show and will be available for autographs between bouts and during intermission.

The main event is a 140-pound match between Vancouver’s Virgil Green and Jesse Isais from San Diego.

That fight, scheduled for six rounds, is the last of five professional bouts on the card. Green is shooting to improve to 4-0 as a professional. Isais is 2-1-1. Each has one knockout.

The first pro fight of the night will feature Kendall Ward of Vancouver (0-4 as a pro) against Marcos Candenas of Salem, Ore. (1-3) in a four-round 128-pound fight. Ward trains at Vancouver Boxing Club.

The second pro fight is a heavyweight match between Matt Kovacs of Arlington and Sylvester Barron of Anacortes. Bout three features Gabriel Pineda from Hillsboro, Ore., in his pro debut against Nalo Leal of Airway Heights (4-12-1) at 137 pounds.

In the fourth pro fight, Sammy Perez of Tualatin, Ore., who trains at Fisticuffs Gym in Vancouver, makes his pro debut at 134 pounds against Danny Ruiz (2-0-0) from Riverside, Calif.

Highlighting the amateur card is a 132-pound fight between junior national champion Efrain Estrada of West Portland Boxing and national runner-up Hector Rendon of Tacoma Boxing Club.

The first of the four three-round amateur bouts has Jorell Reynosa of Battle Ground and Fisticuffs Gym taking on Carlos Arias of Beaverton PAL at 123 pounds. The second amateur match is between 125-pounders Corey Hill of Portland’s Knott Street Gym and Jerrell Barbour of Tacoma Boxing Club. Third on the amateur card is a 141-pound fight matching Junior Zurita of Beaverton PAL against Demetrius Price from Tacoma Boxing Club.
