Cheyenne Nation wins Belmont feature

NEW YORK (AP) — Cheyenne Nation charged down the center of the course to nip Film Making by a neck Thursday in the $53,000 allowance feature on the rain-softened turf at Belmont Park.

A 5-year-old trained by Chad Brown and ridden by Ramon Dominguez, Cheyenne Nation raced to his scored second straight victory and third in 11 career starts. The time was 2:09.17 for 114 miles.

Cheyenne Nation paid $7.50, $4.20 and $3. Film Making returned $10.60 and $5.80, and Point of Entry paid $3.20 to show.
