A Vancouver man died Friday when his Chevy Blazer veered off Interstate 405 in the Kirkland area, hit a sign pole and caught fire.
Todd Bekins, 44, was driving north on the freeway Friday afternoon when his SUV left the roadway. Troopers say some witnesses stopped and pulled Bekins out of the car, but he was dead at the scene.
The King County medical examiner’s office will investigate the death.
The Blazer was destroyed by fire.
