UNC Wilmington beats William & Mary 81-68

WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Adam Smith led five players in double figures with 25 points and UNC Wilmington beat William & Mary 81-68 Saturday night, snapping a four-game losing streak.

Trevor Deloach had 16, Tanner Milson 13, Keith Rendleman 12 and Donte Morales 10 for the Seahawks, who beat William & Mary for the second time this season.

Rendleman recorded 12 boards as UNC Wilmington outrebounded the Tribe 40-26.

UNC Wilmington (9-14, 5-8 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 13-10 before Deloach made two consecutive 3-pointers, sparking a 22-2 run to help the Seahawks take a 32-15 lead.

The Tribe (4-21, 2-11) cut the lead to nine, 36-27, but could not get closer as UNC Wilmington led by at least 11 the entire second half.

The Seahawks shot 51 percent (26 of 51) from the field, including 10 of 19 from deep.

Quinn McDowell scored 17 for the Tribe, who only made 22 of 57 shot attempts.
