Man reports robbery on MAX train

Portland police are investigating a reported robbery on the MAX near the Rose Quarter.

The robbery was reported around 6 a.m. Police responded and found the victim at the Transit Station at Portland State University.

The victim told police he was on the train when three African American men knocked him down, assaulted him and took items out of his backpack.

According to a Portland Police Bureau bulletin, the first suspect is described as an African American male, in his mid 20s with facial hair. He was wearing a dark blue winter jacket, dark blue pants and a dark blue beanie. The second suspect was described as an African American male in his 30s with a dark colored baseball hat, a white sweater and dark jeans.

No arrests were made. No weapons were seen. The victim did not require medical attention.

The investigation is ongoing.
