Emergency crews have removed a boat that fell off a trailer Thursday afternoon on on the Interstate 205 Glenn Jackson Bridge south of Government Island.

The Oregon Department of Transportation warned at 4:30 p.m. that two of four southbound lanes will be blocked for hours, with lengthy delays for southbound drivers.

The boat was removed and lanes cleared just before 6:30 p.m.

Traffic remained heavy on both sides of the bridge.
