A Gresham, Ore., man was injured Saturday evening in a single-car accident in east Vancouver, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Benjamin G. Corbin, 61, was driving on a ramp connecting northbound Interstate 205 to westbound Highway 14 about 7:40 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of his 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser, a WSP bulletin said.

The vehicle went off the roadway, overturned and came to rest on its roof.

Corbin suffered a possible broken disk in his back and was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, the WSP said. He was reported in satisfactory condition late Saturday and was no longer a patient in the hospital on Sunday night.

The bulletin blamed the accident on traveling too fast for conditions. The bulletin said that alcohol was suspected, and that Corbin could face a DUI charge.
