Letter: Tomatoes versus rocks

The Columbian
Published: September 24, 2012, 5:00pm

Yet another blatantly skewed “report” appears in The Columbian Sept. 18 story “Democrat backers hit with tomatoes.” We learn that the Vancouver Education Association office, proudly displaying signs supporting President Barack Obama and gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee, has been hit by tomatoes. First, I wonder, are all Washington teachers and staff liberal Democrats? Not a single Republican among you?

To top it all, there is the minor detail if you read the Sept. 15 Columbian story “Clark County Republican headquarters vandalized” that the Clark County RNC office had rocks thrown through a glass door and windows, costing thousands of dollars to repair.

Rocks and glass can kill people; tomatoes don’t.
